Lite och Ofta…
"Lite och ofta." Little and often.
This is what my swedish teacher said to me when I asked her what good language learners focus on. I mean, it seems fairly obvious, and it makes sense, but often we forget.
We want to do it and do it now ('it' being different for everyone).
What's the secret to getting fit?
What's the secret to getting better at a language?
What's the secret to developing healthier habits?
What's the secret to being good at a sport or discipline?
Lite och ofta.
Not, all or nothing.
Not, do loads this week, and nothing next week.
Not, a quick fix. Not, one specific workout method or one diet.
A little, frequently, will take you a lot further than a lot, infrequently.
So, whether you're learning a language, getting into fitness, learning to handstand, or learning / developing anything at all, remember: Lite och ofta!
