Success is found, not in achieving your goals, but in striving towards them.

Goals for me aren't necessarily something to 'tick off', but more so something to base my actions on and to strive towards.

Success for me isn't in saying "yes, I did that," but in saying, "I worked to moved a bit closer to my goal, today / this week/ this year."

Don't get me wrong, I love a good checklist as much as the next person, but seeing my goals as something to strive towards rather than something to 'tick off' makes it easier to continue to strive towards my goals even if they take a long-time or even if I don't seem to be getting any closer.

It also allows me to set goals that I amn't entirely sure I'll achieve because it doesn't matter if I 'complete' it or not.. I have been successful if I have moved towards it.

So, whether your reflecting on the goals you set this year or looking to set goals for this next year, remember success doesn't happen the day you achieve your goals, success happens from the moment you start working towards them.
